devoted to completion of the Russian-Canadian program
« Yeltsin Democracy Fellowship »
The « Yeltsin Democracy Fellowship Program », which started 10 years ago began one of the most successful projects of cooperation between Canada and Russia. This program gave an opportunity to hundreds representatives of the state structures, not-governmental organizations and business in our country to get acquainted with Canadian experience of management in the public and private sectors.
The other aspect – expansion of professional and personal contacts between the participants of the Program – also has no little significance. Confirmation to this is the vigorous activity of the Russian-Canadian Club of President's Fellows which acted as one of organizers of the present Conference. I am sure, that the Conference will contribute to the further strengthening of relations between our countries.
The «Yeltsin Democracy Fellowship Program», having accomplished its objectives, comes to the end. But new projects are on the approach which undoubtedly will keep and will increase developed kind traditions of the Russian-Canadian cooperation in the sphere of professional training.
I wish successes to the participants of the Conference.
